checked in IMW, GVG, KFW, VDP, HKT, OIO, NT, IXN, NXY, and IC. Strong winds last nite forced UEB to fix the
antenna this morning, so its off to get coffee and a bagel after Net. Last week IMW was QRV in the Santa Ynez Valley, wid
two interviews in the San Jose area
Fingers mxd.
GVG, wid sun & more sun at Newport Beach, said that folks were strolling
the beach with coffe & bagel in hand! KFWs
felt lucky that his antennas survived the strong SA winds, and VDP, wid vy dry conditions,
got a new truck fer trips to AZ, replacing his 24 yr old truck. Rough copy between HKT and the Net
Homer didnt
get much wind, but the temp fell to 35 deg., and, HKT is off to the LA Auto Show just to
look
Hes not done wid the Tacoma yet! The
feasting has begun fer OIO!
An has lunch today, dinner next week, and, two more after
that! NT, wid a nice day & a blue sky, has
worked over 80 countries wid his gud DX antenna. IXN
& Lee had gud WX in the mountains over TG, 2/3 of the QTH is now painted, and Bob is
now a type 2 diabetic. NXY, after a short
absence frm the Net, spent two weeks in Oct. in China near Tibet wid the XYL
Mike had
the time of his life! NCS cud barely detect ICs
sigs, but NXY relayed that Fred gave NCS an RST of 339
(IXN was unable to hear any
sigs frm IC!)

Net W6ZE/AF6C checked in CCD, IXN, and HHC.
CCD put a remote in the car for the rig, and Tom didnt hve to take the
XYL to Visalia this week
Then Tom got the din-din call.
IXN announced the Geminid Meteor Shower to peak Dec. 13/14, and OPs talked
abt dust devils, and, possible water on Mars! HHC
will help AF6C take a big box out of the car, and, Bob will be removing an old steamer
trunk frm the QTH to make room fer a new workbench. HHC
had his grandson, Michael, in the shack
No mike fright here!
OPs enjoyed the
go-around wid Kens interesting 1st grade harmonic! AF6C announced that the ARRL Audio News is ready to
roll on the 2m Net, and Bob and HHC made sum slight changes to the Club webpage.

Net W6ZE/IXN checked in N1AB, DDE, AF6C, HHC, MIH, and KF6EVX(Robert). AB is working on bringing up his code speed. DDE has been busy cleaning up arnd the QTH,
Christmas shopping wid the XYL, and helping HHC wid inventory of ham radio gear at OPD
RACES. And AF6C is pricking his fingers on
that naughty bougenavilla once agn
Next will be to find and repair a leak in the
roof! Tom told HHC that he got his emails, and
OPs hope that grandharmonic Michael, in 1st grade, will become a future ham. MIH & IXN briefly wnet over some wilderness
protocol that might have saved Mr. Kims life if he had known it. And Robert, KF6EVX, in Anaheim, has a Tech+
license, but is working on his General Class ticket
Right now, Robert only has 2m

CW Net NCS/UEB checked in IMW, GVG, IB, KFW, OIO, RND, HKT, VDP, NT, IXN,
and NXY. UEBs XYL got her Christmas
present early, new speakers, a combination mixer/amp, and microphones for her singing
performances. IMW had FB sigs wid a quiet band
at the QTH, and GVG had mostly 599 sigs on all in Bonsall
Wid 10m open, Roy has been
having fun working the CW contest. IB yielded
to a breaking station that flew in and flew out, and Casey has been running
arnd the last few weeks on honey do details
HI! KFW said that the OCARC will hold its annual
Christmas party next Friday and all are welcome

rain that woke him up in the middle of the night, and John is getting ready fer Christmas. HKT, wid 54 deg. temp and WX clear & windy, is

check into Net! NT, checking up wid sum old
QSLing chores, had heavy rain by the bay last nite. And
IXN announced that the Geminid meteor shower will peak on the nite of Dec. 13 and the
morning of Dec. 14. NXY just finished putting
new tires on the auto in time fer the rain, wind, and cold WX!

back East to visit his sister in Feb, and Bob I now working on adjusting brakes on the
240-Z
AF6C also got new Club badges made and Good-of-the Club Awards, too! HHC, winding dwn frm the days work, is still
working on the COAR inventory, and, planning on attending the Club Christmas din-din on
Friday! AF6C told HHC to check Radio Shack fer
an audio line splitter. IXN said chances of
finding water on the moon are nil, and Bob also warned that in the milleniums to come, the
Imperial Valley will spread apart, becoming part of the Sea of Cortez! LDC, now finished
wid a landline call, was in Palm Springs last weekend
And, wid a lil work done
on the motorhome, Larry & XYL will be off journeying once agn in Jan/Feb. HHC, the Christmas chores completed, said that his
Nikon camera is not working.

Ken is transferring PSK-31 info over to the new Dell computer while thinking
abt the IC-7000 that will be raffled at the Christmas dinner! KFW, doing Christmas shopping, is planning to have
his daughter & family in frm Colorado fer Christmas, and, to celebrate his 50th
wedding anniversary on Dec. 29. VDP, off to AZ
Fri. morning, will try to check into the OCWN on Sunday if he gets an antenna up

AUL can get a CR20-32 battery holder fer VDP. AUL
told OPs that a broken mike prevented gud SKYPE phone patch internet connections the 2nd

Nicolas said the food & WX were pretty gud on their trip. AF6Cs 240-Z passed smog inspection, Bob will

UEB, planning on a short bike ride if it warms up, announced the end of
Morse Code testing!

wid band condx gud despite the solar storm, says he needs a new CW test
HI! IB, going to the Bay Area this morning, quipped
Long live Morris and his Code! NCS,
unable to hear VDPs check-in frm AZ, asked RND to relay
VDP reported bad QRN,
clear & cold WX in AZ. RND also had to
relay fer NXY since Mike was QRP. OIO got
tickets at the La Mirada Theatre fer Plaid Tidings
Barbershop on
steroids
What fun! RND said that OIO, IB,
and IXN are blasting in, but no copy on IMW!
John & XYL will fly to Boise, ID,
fer Christmas, so RND will miss the next Net. VDP
told RND that he was using a dipole on top of the house.
NT, wid a chilly day at the Bay, cudnt hear IXN or IMW, and IXN cudnt
hear VDP on his second transmission wid the QRN & QSB, and, IXN was off to the
mountains for Christmas and New Years Day. NXY,
now bk on the big rig, said that the band was crazy this morning, wid NCS sigs
varying between nil and 40 over!

checked in LDC, CCD, HHC, IXN, and KTS. LDC
& XYL, Pauline, unable to get gas at COSTCO wid the long lines, will be off to Acton
to be wid family at Christmas. CCD & XYL
enjoyed the Club Christmas dinner, won a couple of books at the raffle, and Tom recommends
Hi-Tech Liquidators in Costa Mesa as a source of goodies!
AF6C added dates of upcoming events to the Club webpage, had a slight touch
of stomach upset last weekend, and announced that Bob Heil will speak at Jan. Club
meeting. IXN & Lee thought that the food
was much better at the Club Christmas dinner this year, and IXN will be in the mountains
for Christmas, and he will miss next weeks nets
And Bob said that the wave
ejected from the sunspot was probably in the audio window.
HHC enjoyed the Club Christmas dinner and the COAR dinner at the Orange
Hills Restaurant, and wid the PSK-31 station back in operation, only sporadic reception
was heard last Sunday
HHC also said the Club had broke even by 5:30 pm on expenditure
vs income fer the Christmas dinner & raffle, and HHC also picked up the audio splitter
at Radio Shack. KTS said that AF6C sounded
like he was at the far end of a tunnel, as David will soon be off to bake sum cookies!
And
KTS also replaced the top hat on the ant, and is re-programming the 2m HT fer a nephew
that is getting his Tech license.

present! VDP, bk frm the QTH in AZ fer
Christmas, contacted the OCWN during last Sundays Net, on 40m CW
Wid an S6
noise level, he was able to hear IB, UEB, RND, and NT, pretty gud fer an antenna not much
above roof level! JD enjoyed the Club
Christmas dinner, and Lowell & XYL will hve family at the QTH fer Christmas. AUL got a new power supply and put out strong sigs,
enjoyed the Club Christmas dinner, and will be off on another trip the 2nd week
in January. If the snow permits, KFW will hve
family in frm Denver fer Christmas and to celebrate Chris & XYLs wedding
anniversary on Dec. 29. AF6C looked fer
batteries, needed by VDP, in a Panasonic catalogue
And AF6C told BWH that he is still

AF6C is off to lunch wid former
employees in Long Beach tomorrow (at a hot, spicy food restaurant!), and, Bob then aired

the call of K3GWX, and, ARISS is temporarily off the air due to re-programming and repairs
of ham gear
