07/06/16 10m Phone Net

No formal Net!...We had vy high QRN, around S8 at IXN’s QTH! Near the end of net time, the S noise dropped to S2. Arnie, N6HC, Clem, WØMEC, had a short ragchew. OPs got their rigs set up once agn after Field Day.

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WØMEC, WB6IXN, KK6TRC, W6HHC, KK6REB, W6ETC, KB6TAL, W6JTT, and KK6FYG. We thank Corey for NC duties tonite! IXN & Lee went to the Club FD, spending time at the GOTA station, and, the digital station wid YHX and ATV. OPs showed interest in W6FSS, Frank’s novel antenna, and MEC lit up 4 bars on IXN’s rig tonite, strong sigs fer Clem! TRC had a great FD! Jeff worked the 2m band. Other than fireworks, TRC had a quiet 4th! HHC said AF6C didn’t get the station together after FD yet, and Ken said WØMEC is editor of RF this month! And HHC said we got gud pix at FD! REB worked 10m on FD, and ETC, like most OPs, cud not copy 10m tonite! And TAL worked wid the RACES station, wid some ATV…This was TAL’s 1st checkin to Net! JTT is on a new 2m antenna tonite, a 2m groundplane which lit up all but 2 bars on the rig! FYG reported 20m wide open!...Mike worked Estonia!

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WB6IXN, W6ATB, WØMEC, and W6UX. Corey had FB sigs at Checkins, then, it happened…audio distortion on his sigs. OPs tried offering possible solutions for Corey’s problem but to no avail! YHX closed Net early to research the problem!

W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in WØMEC, KE6YHX, KK6FYG, and KK6TRC. MEC checked in wid FB sigs, and Clem offered suggestions to YHX concerning the audio problem on 10m. YHX continues computer work wid formulas and IXN continues to study energy loss wid red dhift in the quantum world. FYG and IXN discussed moon phenomena (phases), and TRC checked in wid strong sigs. After Net, IXN and YHX went to 10m, but did not solve Corey’s audio problem!

07/20/16 10m Phone Net

W6ZE/AF6C checked in KE6YHX, KJ6OML, W6JTT, WB6IXN, KG6PTL, W6HHC, and KJ6JKA. YHX turned the power down and temporarily solved the intermittent distortion problem on his audio. AF6C and DLA spent abt 4 hours servicing Talking Book machines at Braille today wid OML busy wid other tasks today. JTT, wid QRN tonite, plans a trip to the mountains this weekend, and KG6DTL, Greg, checks in fer 1st time tonite on a 10m dipole up abt 10 ft using 10W power wid gud sigs. HHC commented on young YLs at last Club meeting, and Ken continues testing work on DATV. JKA checked in near Net’s end wid gud sigs.

07/20/16 2m Phone Net

W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in KJ6OML, W6JTT, KJ6JKA, KE6YHX, W6ETC, KK6TRC, WØMEC, KK6YG, and KK6REB. OML wasn’t called so Gene missed Braille today. JTT is off to the mountains for some repair work, and Sam’s new 2m ant. is working FB! JKA says interference on 75m still continues, and Wil has been busy wid chores around the QTH. YHX will run tests on his feed line, and ETC is in training. No notes fer TRC tonite, but Jeff had 5/9 sigs! MEC is kicked back reading the mail as Clem comments on the hot WX. FYG commented on the Super Moon to be visible Nov. 14. Next Super Moon will be Nov. 26, 2034! REB comments on his son’s plans to enter Cypress City College, and IXN must continue to search for missing car keys!

07/27/16 10m Phone Net

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WB6IXN and KG6PTL. Wid temps near the 100 deg. Range, many OPs stayed away from hot radio rooms! YHX suggested wet towels in front of fans to keep things cool, and IXN was sitting in front of a fan aimed at the rig. We thank Corey for assuming NC duties tonite, and IXN will be NC for the 2m Net.

07/27/16 2m Phone Net

W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in KF6CF/m, W6ETC/m, WØMEC, KK6TRC, KE6YHX, KK6REB, and KK6FYG. CF checked in mobile, just getting home from din-din and sporting a new YAESU 857D rig. ETC busied himself working wid digital programs for radios, but checked in 5/9 mobile tonite! TRC worked wid ECHOLINK internet protocol the past couple of days and IXN worked on a leaking hot water spigot and pipe in the laundry. YHX thinks his mushing, broken audio problem has two causes, and IXN uses Microsoft windows while REB uses Macintosh windows, and both Steve and IXN have great respect for Boy Scouts! FYG & IXN comment on the vy hot WX and hope we get a break soon!
