General Meeting

We are excited to welcome Wayne Yoshida, KH6WZ, as our upcoming guest speaker. This is the world premiere of this talk, and he expects to have this information published in a magazine article in the not too distant future. Have you had sticker shock while shopping for a DC power supply lately? Wayne has discovered an innovative way to lower that cost with a fairly easy DIY project. Its ingenious!

2026 “California QSO Party”

October 3 is the weekend of the 61st running of the California QSO Party starting at at 1600 hrs Zulu (Saturday 9:00 AM PDT) and continuing for 30 hours until 2200 hrs Zulu (Sunday 3:00 PM PDT). Orange, the smallest of the counties in California, usually give a good showing. Club plans for this event are pending.

Annual Radio & Electronics Auction

We will be holding our annual OCARC auction in lieu of the general meeting. with Nicholas Haban - AF6CF coming all the way from Texas to be our auctioneer. Members: time to empty your garages and offer those treasured boat anchors for sale. Vacuum tubes, old radio parts, test equipment…. There will also be a table set up for donations to support the club.

The doors open at 6:00 PM for registration. Auction begins at 7:00 PM. See our home page for details and rules.
