October 3 is the weekend of the 61st running of the California QSO Party starting at at 1600 hrs Zulu (Saturday 9:00 AM PDT) and continuing for 30 hours until 2200 hrs Zulu (Sunday 3:00 PM PDT). Orange, the smallest of the counties in California, usually give a good showing. Club plans for this event are pending.
We will be holding our annual OCARC auction in lieu of the general meeting. with Nicholas Haban - AF6CF coming all the way from Texas to be our auctioneer. Members: time to empty your garages and offer those treasured boat anchors for sale. Vacuum tubes, old radio parts, test equipment…. There will also be a table set up for donations to support the club.
