What follows is the OCARC planning information that was posted for the recently completed 2024 ARRL Field. W6ZE ran in the 6A category in the ARRL Orange section of the Southwestern Division.

O.C.A.R.C.'s 2024 A.R.R.L. Field Day
June 21st, 2024 (Fri) Starting at 9:00 AM: Setup
June 22nd - 23rd, 2024 Operations (Sat, Sun)

(Always the fourth full weekend in June)

Location:

The Orange County Amateur Radio Club, OCARC, will host their Field Day at the Huntington Beach Spring View Middle School grounds at 16662 Trudy Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92647 - preliminary map to site -. This is a new site, just a few blocks from the Ocean View site. There is a large field to set-up.

The School District does not permit alcohol or tobacco to be used on the school premises. If you bring a dog assure it is on a leash; you are responsible to dispose of any waste by the dog.

Bring a copy of your ham license to FD to allow you your full license privileges.

Driving Instructions:

Directions to the Huntington Beach Spring View Middle School:

• From the 405 Fwy. northwest bound, take the Warner Ave. exit going west.
• From the 22 Fwy. going west, take Goldenwest South to Warner Ave. Turn right (west) on Warner.
  • From Warner, turn right (north) on Edwards St. and take the first left (west) onto Shields Dr. Take the second right (north) on Trudy Lane.
  • Continue north on Trudy Lane into the second block. The school facility will be on your right.
• From the 405 Fwy. southeast bound take the Springdale exit south.
  • Proceed south on Springdale to Heil Ave. Turn left (East) on Heil Ave.
  • Proceed on Heil to the first right right which is Trudy Lane. Turn right (south) onto Trudy Lane.
  • In about 400 feet the school will be on your left.
