Thus far, AF6C hasn’t made contact wid N6HC on DXpedition on Amsterdam Is. And IXN is awaiting supposed rain tomorrow, after spending a morning looking for his missing wallet! The Triumvirate, Af6C, OML, and DLA, attacked 30 ailing Book Machines at Braille Institute today, servicing and getting them ready for visually impaired readers…Tnx, guys! UAN, Gary, in Fountain Valley, is returning to amateur radio, and AF6C said HHC is working on a garbage disposal! JTT is an S6 at IXN’s QTH and will give more info. on the 2m Net tonite. JKA was dwn in the QRN at IXN’s QTH but Will & AF6C talked abt a squelch unit made in England. And, YHX is preparing to mount a 45W solar unit on the roof.

JTT continues to find ‘fly by night’ construction work done on the rental property up in Idyllwild, keeping Sam busy!...And Sam loses his son’s help as he is back in Colorado for further training in tunnel engineering construction, etc. And OML says they are pretty well caught up on Talking Book machine repairs. YHX will pick up aluminum tubing for a 45W solar panel roof installation, and, by Christmas, Corey hopes to increase solar power to 180W! UH plans to get back into HF radio soon, and NBV & UH live close to each other in Mission Viejo. NBV has been enjoying AM on 75m. It is 56 deg. outside IXN’s QTH in Santa Ana at 8:30 pm.
AF6C was busy entertaining his sister from back East who was also visiting her mother. W6HHC took over NC duties and checked in WB6IXN, KJ6OML, and KE6YHX. OPs were probably glued to their TVs watching the Olympic games! We discussed no rain in CA, bad WX back East, and flodds in England. OML and DLA serviced 9 Talking Book machines at Braille Institute today…Tnx Guys! And, HHC & the DATV group are now selling their new DATV Board…Read all about it on the Club webpage in a full page add!... 3 boards have been sold to U.S. OPs and are already on line! IXN announced the Astronomy Club meeting this Friday night. YHX finished his calculus homework yesterday, and HHC said FD planning got under way at Board meeting at the Sat. Bfast, under able guidance from N6GP & AF6CF!
Wid many OPs watching Olympic games, W6ZE/WB6IXN checked in KJ6OML, W6UX, K6PKA(Bob), W6JTT, and KE6YHX. It was 64 deg. outside IXN’s QTH at net time, and OML said UG was busy answering inquiries from the Howard Jarvis tax people. UX was programming repeater frequencies into the 710 rig, and Bob, PKA, in Santa Ana, not too far from IXN’s QTH, checked in wid gud sigs. JTT is off to the mountains this weekend to continue work on the rental near Idyllwild, and Corey discovered errors in the calculus book which he will discuss wid his instructor.

HHC announced a ‘goodie’ Club meeting this Frie. Eve., and IXN is busy wid taxes once again. HHC and Diane visited the San Manuel Casino wid Ken bringing home a few ‘shekels’, and, HHC got the new newsletter up on the website. HHC and DATV crew are trying to keep up wid demand turning out their new DATV boards. OML said the Triummvirate AF6C, OML, and DLA, serviced 10 old and 9 new Talking Book machines at Braille Institute today…Congrats, Guys! W6SQC(Cass) said that N6HC will be home in 4 days from the DXpedition. SQC and AF6C discussed their ailing Maytag washers, and IXN said his Maytaqg was a ‘bouncing Betty’!...wid SQC’s washer crating a QRN problem. And fro the 1st time tme, IXN cud not hear JTT’s sigs tonite!

IXN will have material on ‘quantum nonlocality’ at Club meeting on Fri. eve. for GMU. OML said UG is on the computer and Gene said most Book Machines at Braille today needed charging. JTT has materials collected for a new antennas at the Idyllwild QTH for 10m and VHF, and Sam is off to the Mts. come Friday. GQM, wid Gud sigs, is located in Costa Mesa, and IXN & Jacob briefly discussed things seismic.

AF6C serviced Talking Book machines at Braille Institute today but OML woke up wid a headache so Gene skipped work on Talking Book machines today. HKT is awaiting the arrival of his Club mug, and IXN can barely hear MEC in the QRN. JTT will probably postpone any antenna work in the mountains this weekend…Big Storm! IXN said TV has overhyped WX report, although the 900 mb jet stream will be ove us through Wednesday of next week. ATB, vy busy wid the Business, and baby sitting the granddaughter, hasn’t completed the Moseley antenna as yet. YHX just finished his homework and Corey will receive more back QST issues from AF6C.

OML thinks his headache might have been an allergic reaction he had to dust while working around the QTH, and JTT’s plans to work on 6 & 10m antennas in the mountains will probably ‘washed away’ wid the rain! Andy, W2CNC/m, checked in wid 5/9 sigs but broke up now and then as he went under underpasses, etc. YHX checked in wid gud sigs, and Corey, like IXN used to do, tires doing homework!
