W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WøMEC, KG6PTL, KM6IZO, W6JTT, WB6IXN, and KI6IPH(Dennis). IXN arrived home near Net’s end. Bob had YHX fill in on Net check-ins. PTL AND JTT had gud sigs. And IZO offered help wid the Nets when Corey travels North for the Eclipse. Dennis, IPH, had gud sigs at IXN’s QTH tonite. IXN’s brother, Lee, appears to be doing OK after his fall last Sunday nite. He has fractured bones in his face and right wrist and hand.

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in W6JTT, AF6N, KG6PTL, KJ6JKA, KM6IZO, WøMEC, KK6REB, WB6IXN, K6PAD, KK6TRC, and W6ETC. AF6N is building a 10,15, and 20m ant…And Jim asked YHX abt the upcoming trip to Oregon for the Solar Eclipse. JTT’s sigs were weak at IXN’s QTH and Sam reported QRN at the shack tonite. IZO briefly warned Ops abt the dangers of watching the solar eclipse without proper eye protection, and, IXN has a special paper at the QTH that you can use to make filters to watch the eclipse safely! And JKA, along wid most OPs reported warm shacks tonite wid this humid WX. MEC was 5/7 at NC, and 5/5 at IXN’s QTH tonite. REB’s truck got a new transmission and Steve has been working wid power connectors. PAD has been busy solving some family problems. TRC & ETC both checked in wid 5/9 sigs on ECHOLINK. TRC tnx Vijay fer some configuring work, and ETC tries to keep cool as he plans another antenna.

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WøMEC, W6JTT, KM6IZO, and WB6IXN. YHX is putting the finishing touches on the truck for the Eclipse trip to Oregon. IXN cudn’t hear JTT or IZO in the QRN. IXN had S9 noise level tonite.

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WøMEC, W6JTT, WB6IXN, KD6RUP, KD6PAL, KK6TRC, KM6IZO, K6PAD, and W6ETC. YHX must check out GPS for the upcoming Oregon trip, and Corey gives all OPs their signal reports. JTT had broken sigs…sounded like a loose fitting, Sam. PAL checked in on ECHOLINK, but came back later on the J-pole using 45W. TRC, on ECHOLINK, will be off to Reno nest weekend. IXN gives out tips for watching the Solar Eclipse safely. RUP has 5/9 sigs at IXN’s QTH, and, we wish all Ops travelling to Eclipse sites Bon Voyage and a safe return! IZO and Ops briefly discuss an upcoming meteor shower, and, PAD wishes YHX a gud time & a safe trip. ETC checks in near Net’s end lighting 5 bars and calling for OP help to move some material.

No Net Control, so no Net! At IXN’s QTH, noise level was S9! If any Ops were on frequency, IXN couldn’t hear them!

Again, no Net Control. KE6YHX, Corey, who graciously hosts both Nets, was up in Oregon, in the path of TOTALITY, awaiting the Solar Eclipse on the 21st! IXN did not hear anyone trying to check in on 146.550!

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in W6JTT, WB6IXN, KM6IZO, WøMEC, and KG6PTO. YHX returned home safely from his trip to Oregon to witness the solar eclipse in the path of totality…probably a one-time experience for Corey! Corey will have many experiences to remember! And YHX has pictures for the Club Newsletter! IXN watched the yellow house turn grayish yellow as the moon took a small bite out of the sun for almost 2 minutes. IZO and Ops used various methods to protect their eyes during the brief observing time here. IXN could not hear MEC tonite, and PTO had an S4 sig at IXN’s QTH. JTT faded in and out at IXN’s QTH.

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in WøMEC, W6JTT, W6ETC, KG6PTO, WB6IXN, K6PAD, and W6MAO. ETC checked in wid 5/9 sigs on ECHOLINK, and IXN missed Tom’s announcement abt a Sept. 15 – 17 event. MEC gave out a few sig reports. JTT said he has a neighbor with an annoying arc welder, and IXN heard PAD as he lit up 4 bars on the rig. PTO lit up 6 bars tonite. PAD worked some DX over the weekend. And MAO also worked some DX to Chile and Argentina. PTO lit up six bars on IXN’s rig tonite.

W6ZE/KE6YHX checked in KM6IZO, WB6IXN, WøMEC, W6JTT, and K6PAD. IZO alerted us to the upcoming passage of a near-earth asteroid, and Vijay heard Clem for the first time!...MEC was using 30W tonite. IXN reported 101 degree temp outside the QTH in Santa Ana tonite! JTT was setting up the rig at net time. Sam had 5/8 sigs at IXN’s QTH. PAD heard Bob & Corey S1 or S2. NC heard PAD 2.4.

IXN got called away from the QTH, but NC, KE6YHX, checked in W6JTT, KM6IZO, K6PAD, KG6PTL, KD6RUP, and WøMEC. IZO reported near-earth asteroid FLORENCE would pass by the Earth on Sept. 1. YHX had only one relay on the Net tonite. The outside temp. at IXN’s QTH was 91 deg. When IXN returned home after 10.00pm!
